WoW Forever Addons & Macros Guide

Last updated: · sources at the end of the page

Translated from the Simplified Chinese edition; if they differ, the Chinese edition and Blizzard's announcements take precedence.

Manual key points: High player volume on launch day makes mob tagging and quest efficiency top priority; prioritize stable addons; test client APIs may change, disable conflicting addons before updating.

Redlines: Never Touch These

Automation and botting tools are strict redlines: Automated combat, automated gathering, and navigation pathing bots carry permanent account ban risk under Blizzard's standard policy.

Community Prohibited List: Automation addons, Voidform/rotational bots, and one-key GSE rotation macros are prohibited; use default UI + basic macros only (official announcement Unconfirmed).

Official Prohibited List Unconfirmed: Official detailed addon blacklist not yet published during Beta; follow in-game policy.

Classic Addons ≠ Directly Compatible: Install versions explicitly updated for Forever / 1.60.1 rather than forcing legacy Classic addons.
